Our multidisciplinary team includes a Neurologist, an Electroencephalographer, and experienced clinicians. Through neurology oversight—reviewing both the raw EEG data and the qEEG brain maps alongside your symptom report—we ensure nothing is overlooked. Without this thorough process, neurofeedback protocols are often based on assumptions about which areas may be dysregulated. By combining neurology reports with qEEG brain mapping, we remove the guesswork and create a precise, individualized training plan. We also value collaboration and are happy to work with your existing healthcare providers to deliver the most effective, integrated care possible.
Your first step is an EEG recording, which we send for detailed analysis. EEG/qEEG reports are typically ready within a week and serve as the foundation for your individualized treatment plan and protocol selection. Once we review your results, your sessions can begin. The industry standard for neurofeedback is a minimum of 40 sessions, scheduled at least twice per week. Each session lasts 35 minutes, though some clients choose a double session of 70 minutes for faster progress. Around your 20th session, we perform a mini qEEG to measure changes and track improvement. At the 40-session mark, we re-evaluate to determine whether additional training is recommended. The total number of sessions varies for each individual and depends on your specific goals.
To prepare for your neurofeedback session, get a good night’s rest and eat a protein-filled meal (avoiding simple carbs/sugars) beforehand. Arrive with clean, dry hair, avoiding large hairstyles or thick braids that might interfere with the sensors reaching the scalp.

BetterFly home-based technology is designed for supervised home training by professional neurofeedback practitioners. The technology is cloud-based and is user friendly and easy to use both by the supervising clinician and their clients who train at home.
