Optimizing Brain Performance with Applied Neuroscience
At Houston Neuroscience Brain Center, every therapeutic plan begins with a DSM-aligned diagnostic process designed to understand why your symptoms are present — not just what they are. We are experienced in working with treatment-resistant/refractory cases and apply comprehensive evaluation tools to rule out neurological and medical contributors before building any intervention plan.

Neurofeedback

A scientifically guided, non‑invasive neurotraining method that helps rebuild healthier brain functioning. During sessions, sensors monitor your brainwaves while you engage with stimuli (often videos). When regulated brain patterns are achieved, the feedback system rewards the brain—encouraging positive change. Protocols are guided by your individual qEEG map, typically spanning 35-minute sessions twice weekly for about 40 visits, with progress check-ins along the way.

EEG/qEEG

A non‑invasive procedure that records brainwave activity to map functional patterns. We use this detailed data to identify dysregulated areas and design personalized treatment plans. The process is safe, does not send any electricity into your brain, and requires simple preparation like avoiding caffeine and eating a protein-rich meal. Insurance may cover this when ordered to rule out seizure conditions. Our EEG/qEEG procedures are more than data collection — they are integrated into a clinical framework with licensed clinicians and neurologist oversight, ensuring that brain mapping is interpreted in the full context of your clinical picture.

Therapy

  • Individual Therapy: One-on-one support to work through emotional challenges, trauma, or life transitions and improve overall quality of life.
  • Family Therapy: Structured, therapist-guided sessions designed to enhance family dynamics, improve communication, and reach long-term harmony.
  • Couples Therapy: Helps couples navigate conflicts and rebuild connection with healthier communication strategies.
  • Child & Adolescent Therapy: Support for young clients to navigate emotional and behavioral challenges in a safe, trusting environment.

All therapeutic interventions are coordinated within our clinical team, emphasizing collaboration with neurologists, psychiatrists, and functional medicine specialists — because a diagnosis is provided by licensed clinicians, but not made in isolation.

Photobiomodulation

A gentle, light-based therapy that stimulates cellular activity in the brain to support healing and energy production. Research shows PBM can help with conditions such as traumatic brain injury, autism, ADHD, cognitive fog, emotional dysregulation, memory, and inflammation.

Brain Camps

Short-term, intensive programs tailored to children and adolescents designed to enhance cognitive skills, focus, and behavioral regulation. These camps provide structured, immersive neurotherapy in a group setting—often used for attention and learning challenges.

Care That’s Informed — Not Promised

While we provide highly informed care and careful evaluation based on clinical evidence, we do not promise specific outcomes. Each person’s response to therapy is unique, and our goal is to empower you with understanding — not guarantees.
